| Microsoft WP7 Developer briefing part I
The new Windows Phone is here! Get a high-level overview of the new application platform and a complete picture of the developer story. Learn about the developer tools, the application frameworks, the support for Silverlight, and the support for XNA. This session will teach the reason why Microsoft created the new platform, consist of demos of the platform and tools and gives you a general view of the phone and possibilities to start developing and designing solutions for this phone. Microsoft WP7 Developer briefing part II This session will build upon the knowledge of part 1 of the Developer Briefing. Learn about the developer tools, the frameworks and the new functionality for Silverlight applications that is unique to the Windows Phone application platform. We will cover the new input paradigms including multi-touch, software keyboard, accelerometer and microphone, as well as the APIs to leverage phone applications like email, phone dialer, contact list and more. The 2nd part of this briefing will demo how to build a XNA game from scratch. This session is mainly demos instead of powerpoint slides. |

Matthijs started working for Microsoft in 2002 as a consultant after several years of working with Lotus Notes and Java. Worked with Microsoft products like .NET, Exchange and SharePoint and is now responsible for the Windows Phone 7 developer ecosystem in The Netherlands. |
